It's 40 degrees outside but sunny. And, it's going to get up to almost 50 today.
You know what that means! I can hang my laundry outside to dry (as long as I get it out there early in the day)!
I don't know if it's my frugal nature or the way my clothes smell when they've dried outside, but I love to use our clothesline. I think I've line dried my clothes at least once during every month of the year. For folks who live in warmer locales, that might not seem like a big deal, but it's pretty huge for us Michiganders.
I think Jeff Zentner (if you haven't read him, go check out one of his books) said, "I love the idea of using an ancient star to do housework." Maybe that's why I love hanging laundry. Whatever it is, it's one of my things.
What weird quirks do you have?
Do open cupboard doors make you anxious? Do you go around the house turning off lights? Do you put little things on your to-do list just so you can check them off? Do you like to track the number of books you've read or the number of miles you've run?
I'd love to see a new social media just for folks to document weird things they like to do. Maybe some folks already use social media for this. I know there are people who post pictures of their meals or bookstagram their reading life. I guess, I'd love to celebrate everyone's weirdness a little more.
